You can sign up at https://open.innovation-challenge.sg/rmc-2025 using a valid email address. Then click ‘Participate’ to create your participation and submit your deliverables. Feel free to reach out to the Admins through the chat feature if you have any questions or concerns.
Once you have become a participant, announcements will be made via the platform chat on a regular basis to provide the latest updates about the challenge. Participants also have access to a dedicated chat with the Admins. Feel free to ask any question there.
The Agorize platform’s customer support can answer any questions pertaining to the challenge.
You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration for the Retail Maverick Challenge 2025 platform. If you do not receive anything after registering, please reach out to timothy.sim@agorize.com
To update your details, please login on the challenge page and go to your participant profile to edit or change your details. Please note that you will not be able to change your email address. If you need to change your email address, you need to delete your account and create a new one with the desired email address.
In this challenge, only one person acts as a representative for his/her respective company. If your company is entering the challenge with a retail brand partner, please reach out to timothy.sim@agorize.com
Mall selection will be jointly determined by CLI and EnterpriseSG, based on your concept’s suitability and space availability.
Eligibility is limited to:
Local brand owners (inclusive of SME and MNCs), or
Startups with an existing or newly formed partnership with a local retail brand
If you're a startup,
You must apply jointly with a local brand owner. Whether you're already working with a brand or initiating a new collaboration, both parties must submit the application together.
Matchmaking between startups and brand partners will not be facilitated as part of this challenge. Standalone applications from startups without a confirmed brand partner will not be eligible.
Tech providers are not eligible to apply independently or jointly. All applicants must be retail brand owners with a ready product or service that can be showcased to the public in a physical retail space.
Winners will get the opportunity to access up to one year of retail space in one of CapitaLand’s malls to pilot and showcase their innovative concepts. Participants should present a clear and well-developed concept that has the potential to be shaped into a brand-ready solution suitable for real-world deployment.
Business entity registered and operating in Singapore
Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership
Unfortunately, startups without brand partners are not eligible for this challenge. We recommend securing a partnership before applying.
Only brands with an existing presence in Singapore are eligible. Future expansion plans alone do not qualify.
Singapore-registered companies distributing foreign brands are eligible to participate. In such cases, the evaluation will also consider how the foreign brand is positioned and engaged within the Singapore market.
The challenge is open to local retail brands (including SMEs, and MNCs) with ready-to-deploy products or services that can be test-bedded in a physical retail environment.
You are free to submit as many solutions as you have unique and novel ideas for revitalising retail.
For the Retail Maverick Challenge 2025, Enterprise Singapore may support winners with funding. Funding will be disbursed based on qualifying costs and subject to standard grant evaluation criteria. Final grant support and incentives will only be confirmed after winning companies have committed to specific deliverables.
Any material changes after will require review with the organisers to assess their impact on the project, and correspondingly, the support granted.

Feasibility – assessment will focus on the proposal's operational viability for period of up to 1 year, along with clear plans for sustainable operations and potential scalability beyond the initial phase (20%)
Relevance and Benefit of Concept to CLI's Retail Ecosystem (20%)
The announcement for the shortlisted retail brands, SMEs and MNCs will be made via the platform chat on mid-August 2025, end of day.

Clarification phase will commence in September, where 1-on-1 clarification meetings will be organised between EnterpriseSG, CLI, and the shortlisted retail brands, SMEs and MNCs .
The announcement for the finalist retail brands, SMEs and MNCs will be made via the platform chat on October, 2025 end of day
The final ceremony will be held physically in Singapore during October 2025 where selected retail brands (including SMEs and MNCs) will have to be prepared to pitch their projects for 10 minutes followed by up to 10 minutes of Q&A. More information will be shared later on with the finalist.
