PARTICIPATING
You can sign up at https://open.innovation-challenge.sg/noic-2024 using a valid email address. Then click ‘Participate’ to create your participation and submit your deliverables. Feel free to reach out to the Admins through the chat feature if you have any questions or concerns.
Once you have become a participant, announcements will be made via the platform chat on a regular basis to provide the latest updates about the challenge. Participants also have access to a dedicated chat with the Admins. Feel free to ask any question there.
The Agorize platform’s customer support can answer any questions pertaining to the challenge.
You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration for the NOIC platform. If you do not receive anything after registering, please reach out to notification@agorize.com
To update your details, please login on the challenge page and go to your participant profile to edit or change your details. Please note that you will not be able to change your email address. If you need to change your email address, you need to delete your account and create a new one with the desired email address.
In this challenge, only one person acts as a representative for his/her respective company. If your company is entering the challenge with an IHL partner, please reach out to notification@agorize.com
ELIGIBILITY
This challenge is open to all startups, and SMEs across the world.
Please take a look at the challenge statements tab to learn more about each challenge statement’s specific requirements and expectations.
Please use this as a guideline for your solution’s TRL readiness:
- TRL 1: Basic principles observed
- TRL 2: Technology concept formulated
- TRL 3: Experimental proof of concept
- TRL 4: Technology validated in lab
- TRL 5: Technology validated in relevant environment
- TRL 6: Technology demonstrated in relevant environment
- TRL 7: System prototype demonstration in operational environment
- TRL 8: System complete and qualified
- TRL 9: Actual system proven in operational environment
The challenge is open to startups and SMEs across the world.
You are free to submit as many solutions as there are problem statements. Check the complete list HERE.
For all challenge statements under the NOIC, the Organiser may support awarded innovators* with the Proof-of-Concept (POC) Development Grant (for eligible enterprises). Eligibility for the grant, actual quantum, early-stage POC milestones tied to the grant, and payment tranche(s) will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore, the challenge owner, and the awarded innovator.
*Funding support will only be awarded to Singapore-registered startups and SMEs. Foreign-based startups and SMEs may be considered if they are registered as a legal entity in Singapore within six (6) months of being appointed as a matched company. For applications by a consortium or group of startups and SMEs, the grant will be awarded to the lead applicant.
APPLICATION PHASE
For the application phase, your startup/SME must fill in an application form and submit a 5-10 slide PDF that addresses the following:
- Problem/solution
- Market and total addressable market (TAM)
- Value proposition and positioning
- Technical aspect
- Go-to-market strategy
- The business/revenue model
- Traction: KPI metrics & milestones
- Forecast 2024/2025
- Team Representation
- Ability to Execute: Provide details of your organisation’s expertise and experience along with a commercialisation plan if applicable.

A template is available to download on the participation space but you are not required to use it. It is provided merely as a guide.
If you don’t use the template, make sure that your PDF is 10-slides max and is written in English. Furthermore, please ensure that you’ve previewed your project, to ensure it is displayed correctly, prior to submitting it.
Interested applicants can reach out to admins via the platform message for assistance to duplicate their completed proposal to participate in the Open Category.
The deadline of the application is 17 February, 2025 23:59 SGT (GMT +8).
All submissions will be assessed based on the following criteria:
> Technical Feasibility of solution and novelty (25%)
> Business feasibility of solution (25%)
> Capacity and Expertise to execute projects (25%)
> Clarity & Comprehensiveness of proposal and test plans (25%)
SHORTLISTING PHASE
The announcement for the shortlisted startups and SMEs will be made via the platform chat on April 2025, end of day.
CLARIFICATION PHASE
The announcement for the shortlisted startups and SMEs will be made via the platform chat on May 2025, end of day.
Clarification phase will commence in April 2025, where 1-on-1 clarification meetings will be organized by the respective challenge statement owners with shortlisted startups and SMEs.
RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT
The All results announcement will be done via email directly to the matches innovators. Discussion with the challenge owners will carry forward.
