Nordic Open Innovation Challenge 2024

The application phase will run from 28 October, 2024 (SGT/GMT+8) and will end on 17 February, 2025 at 23:59 pm (SGT/GMT+8).

Criteria for Application

The criteria for the application phase are as follows:

1. Register on the platform.
2. Select a challenge statement to address.
3. Complete the participation form.
4. Submit a 5 to 10 slide PDF proposal deck, including the following details:
   
   • Problem/solution
     
   • Market and total addressable market (TAM)
   • Value proposition and positioning
   • Technical aspect
   • Go-to-market strategy
   • The business/revenue model
   • Traction: KPI metrics & milestones
   • Forecast 2025/2026
   • Team Presentation
   • Ability to Execute: Provide details of your organisation’s expertise and experience along with a commercialisation plan if applicable.
     

Startups and SMEs are welcome to tackle multiple challenge statements by creating new participations, should you have more than one solution to submit! 

The deadline for the submission will be on 17 February, 2025 at 23:59 [GMT+8]. Please note that all the deliverables must be submitted in English.

The shortlisting of startups and SMEs will conclude by 11 April 2025.

During this phase, challenge statement owners will evaluate the proposals and the most innovative solutions will be selected to proceed to the clarification phase.

Shortlisting criteria

Participating startups and SMEs will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Value of the addressed issues (25%)
• Innovativeness of the technology and business model (25%)
• Feasibility - Short-term and Long-term (25%)
• Impact (25%)
  

Clarification phase will conclude by 19 May 2025.

During this phase, our challenge statement owners will conduct 1-to-1 sessions with shortlisted participants for further discussion and clarification, e.g. via online calls or through the challenge platform.

Announcement will be made in June/July 2025.

Innovators may commence discussion with their respective challenge owners on the next steps if challenge statement owners perceive a greater potential for further collaboration.
